North Collier Fire Launches New Lifeguard Program at Vanderbilt Beach
By Peter Rose | The Rose Team | Premiere Plus Realty
Beginning July 1, 2026, Vanderbilt Beach will have a new permanent lifeguard program operated by the North Collier Fire Control & Rescue District.
The program will bring trained lifeguard coverage to one of Collier County’s busiest beach destinations, with staffing planned seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Three lifeguard stands are expected near the Vanderbilt Beach turnaround area.
This marks a major step for beach safety in North Naples, giving residents and visitors faster response for swimmer distress, medical emergencies, and marine-life-related incidents.
A Welcome Addition for North Naples
Vanderbilt Beach is one of Naples’ most popular coastal areas, known for its Gulf-front homes, luxury condominiums, beach access, dining, and proximity to communities such as Pelican Bay, Park Shore, Vanderbilt Beach, and North Naples.
For homeowners, visitors, and families, the added lifeguard presence is another quality-of-life improvement that reinforces why Naples remains one of Southwest Florida’s most desirable places to live.
